The chair as a tool.
BarberTruck Kids is a programme of hairdressing workshops for children and young people. The mobile salon comes to them, inside their own structure. Here, hairdressing is a means, not an end — it gently builds self-esteem, autonomy, social connection and confidence, with real pleasure.

02 — What we work on

Each workshop works one or more of these, tuned to the group and the structure’s need.

Five formats,

From care to creativity, from hygiene to social bonds — chosen with the structure by age and goal.

Hygiene without the lecture — spotting a healthy scalp, choosing a shampoo, busting myths.

Choosing a cut on visual boards, the link between cut, face & personality, how we see ourselves.

“Sometimes what we need most is to be cared for.”
Scalp care, gentle head massage, kind styling — not necessarily a cut. Adapted for APEMH / Kannerschlass.
“What if you took care of someone you love?”
A child styles a friend, parent or grandparent with Ken’s help. Daily (pairs) or event format (families).

Led by Ken.
Every workshop is run by Ken Kries himself — 15 years of craft, a calm presence, and a genuine gift with kids. From the Grand Ducal Court to a classroom, the same care travels with the truck.
